Consultations

Assoc. Prof. Chris Daly consults privately insured, Department of Veterans Affairs, Workcover and third party insured patients at Gold Coast Private Hospital Specialist Suites, Ground Floor, 14 Hill Street, Southport, QLD, 4215. He consults with public patients at the Gold Coast University Hospital.

 

Initial Consultation

The initial consultation is usually scheduled for approximately 30 minutes. If you have multiple or complex health care needs and more time is required this may be extended. Follow-up consultations may be required for further investigation and management.

What to Bring

  • Valid referral from your General Practitioner or Specialist

  • Any scans (MRI, CT, X-rays)

  • A list of your medications and allergies

  • Any other information or material related to your health concerns

  • Private insurance details (if relevant)

  • Worker’s compensation insurer and claim details (if relevant)

On the Day

What to bring to your surgery

We operate at the Gold Coast Private Hospital. On the day of your operation please bring any scans (MRI, CT, X-rays), and your medications.

 

Parking at Gold Coast Private Hospital

Gold Coast Private Hospital offers secure undercover parking with additional spaces available in an outdoors carpark.  Entry is via Innovation Drive and Allsopp Avenue.  Disabled parks are available on lower ground 3.  Parking fees apply.  Click the button below for more information.

Public Transport

After Surgery

Post-Operative Consultations

Chris will regularly review your recovery during your hospital admission. You will also receive a post-operative consultation from our consulting suites. The in hospital reviews and first post-operative consultation are included in the surgical fee.

 
 

Pricing

Consultation Fees

Consultation fees are partially reimbursed by Medicare.  There is no charge for the first post-operative follow-up consultation as this is included in the surgical fee. 

 

Surgical Fees

If surgery is recommended a quote will be provided detailing any planned surgery, the associated Medicare item numbers and description.  The surgical fees may infrequently be modified as a result of intraoperative findings.  There may be additional fees for services provided by other doctors such as anaesthetists.  Additionally, there may be other fees charged by the hospital depending on the arrangement in place with your insurer.
